Nelson Ramirez
|
Nelson came all the way from the West Coast of California. He was born and raised in Sacramento, not far from Mexico, where his family originates. He studied at the University of California, Berkeley where he obtained his degree in Architecture with a focus on structural engineering and a minor in Sustainable Design.
Being that his family is from Mexico, he knows about good Mexican food. He will come into the office and tell us about the tamales and many other dishes he learned to make from his mother. Nelson also has a passion for good food and loves dining at some of the hole in the wall places in Tampa and St. Pete, as well as, dining at the finer restaurants.
Having held a couple of different positions with a couple of architecture firms in California and with his experience here at EDGE Architecture, Nelson has become well-rounded in his architecture experience. He has worked on a variety of projects where he prepared and managed complex construction documents. Nelson is our BIM Specialist and is Project Manager on a number of projects with our team. He is very experienced with computers and technology and helps our team stay up and running at all times. Nelson rounds out our team and is a vital member. He is a true leader and easy to take instruction from. Creating 3D drawings and renderings are among some of the things Nelson enjoys. He has a unique rendering style that has a softness to it. He is the one to call when you need a rendering.
Nelson looks for meaningful ways to give back to the community, no matter where he lives. In California, he was a volunteer leader, doing site analysis, design, and construction of a children’s outdoor play area. He has also been involved with Habitat for Humanity in Sacramento, and looks for more volunteer opportunities. He has done some work here with us on Feeding Tampa Bay and will likely do more with them.
